First Grade
Westward Ho!
We're exploring the life of the pioneers who traveled west in the 1800s. Specifically, we are interested in what they brought with them and what they left behind. The first graders are discussing and comparing different items they could take with them if they were traveling to the new frontier.
For example, which item would you bring with you? |

Stories Around the World

Let's explore some of these tales and at the same time, learn about the cultures that gave rise to them. And we will ask ourselves what character traits from Australia, Mexico and China are similar to those in America.
